Very Very Good Cake
This. (David Leite’s bolo de laranja, or Portuguese orange-olive oil cake.) It calls for the zest of three big oranges and the juice of four, and uses only olive oil in place of any dairy fat. I’m not normally a great eater of cake, but this one, which I’m making for a Fourth of July lunch with friends tomorrow, is outstanding.
